About our Opportunity

 

We are seeking an experienced Goods Inwards Supervisor to lead our Goods Inwards and Stores function at our Pooraka manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, replenishment, and movement of materials critical to our manufacturing operations.

 

Leading a small team of three, you will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, managing incoming deliveries, and ensuring a strong safety culture across the warehouse and stores areas

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the end-to-end goods inwards process, including glass, aluminium, hardware, consumables, and manufacturing materials.
  • Safely unload deliveries using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Ensure all incoming goods are accurately receipted, labelled, stored, and recorded within inventory systems. 
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, including cycle counts, stocktakes, discrepancy investigations, and stock control activities.
  • Coordinate the replenishment of manufacturing materials and stock within the warehouse and production areas.
  • Manage waste and recycling processes, including organising bin collections and disposal activities.
  • Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Planning, and Operations teams to ensure material availability supports manufacturing schedules.
  • Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with warehousing, forklift, traffic management, and material handling procedures. 
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and operational efficiency throughout the warehouse.

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a warehouse, stores, logistics, manufacturing, or factory environment.
  • A current LF Forklift Licence with practical operating experience.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and experience managing safe work practices within a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with inventory management, cycle counting, stocktakes, and stock control processes.
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory or ERP systems.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to coordinate competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Experience handling large or fragile materials, such as glass, will be highly regarded.
  • Overhead crane experience is advantageous; however, training can be provided.
