About The Opportunity

 

As our Continuous Improvement Process Engineer, you will be directly responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing process control systems and supporting lean methodology implementation in order to optimise VIC production operations and meet strategic productivity targets. You will teach, coach and mentor cross-functional teams in delivering improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodology in both Operations and Functional areas.   

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with production staff in analysing key performance data to ensure improvement efforts
  • Be a driver for a culture of safety, quality and productivity
  • Lead CI projects and Kaizen events to deliver sustained Operational and Functional improvement
  • Provide regular progress updates including reports and analysis
  • Partner with the Analytics & Automation Lead to translate process opportunities into digitisation or automation requirements
  • Develop and embed SOPs, process controls and training materials
  • Develop Capex and business case proposals for improvement projects
  • Collaborate with Maintenance in relation to production machinery research and preventative maintenance

 

About You

 

You will bring with you a Mechanical Engineering degree and prior experience of successfully implementing Lean and Continuous methodologies. Your commitment to safety, your analytical mindset and your ability to partner with a diverse range of stakeholders will also be key to your success in this pivotal role.

 

You will also have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to motivate, coach and mentor indirect staff
  • Proficiency in ERPs (eg SAP), MS Excel (xlookup & match functions), CAD drawings, MEX (preventative maintenance), Powe BI (report reading and building) and (preferably) Power Query
  • Strong project management, organizational, analytical and presentation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently managing competing deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
