About our Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Toolmaker to join our team in Stapylton. In this busy and varied role, you will be responsible for testing, repair, and maintenance of a range of machinery. This will involve manufacturing in-house/fit-for-function Press tools, jigs, fixtures, and one-off components.

Responsibilities include:

• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, fixtures and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
• Examine faulty machinery and equipment for defects
• Remove and replace damaged parts
• Undertakes regular emergency repairs of metal parts of machinery & equipment
• Maintain sufficient levels of inventory to support all tool maintenance
• Routine maintenance program for all tools in the businesses
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Optimise tooling processes for improved manufacturing productivity
• Collaborate on innovative tooling methods across teams
• Provide technical support to ensure smooth production

About You

• Trade Qualified Toolmaker or similar trade
• Dedicated to safety and maintaining high-quality
• Welding & fabrication experience - (Desirable)
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications
• Extensive knowledge of press tooling, processes, and technologies
• Extensive knowledge in the design of press and forming tooling
• Sound knowledge of engineering and production processes
• The ability to work as part of a small team to meet objectives
