About our Opportunity 

 

Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will coordinate and maintain a reliable and efficient dispatch service for all customer orders by scheduling truck runs daily and handling all local delivery and pick up requirements. 

 

In order to enable scheduled jobs to be delivered or picked up in a timely and efficient manner, you will arrange transportation and coordinate scheduled deliveries and support the out going freight and pick up from our Trade counter. In this fast paced role, you will need to be confident with customer interactions i.e Truck Drivers and Builders at our Trade Counter, at times troubleshooting solutions with respect to customer complaints and re-assigning or re-scheduling any returned deliveries. 

 

In addition, you’ll:

  • manage Distribution inbox
  • manage requests for any add on to runs ensuring accurate recording
  • prepare and distribute daily reports
  • confirm delivery bookings with customers to ensure site ready for delivery and/or collection of products

 

About You

 

We’re looking for someone with Trade Counter and strong administration skills, ideally in a similar role where you have transport planning experience preferably with complex supply chains and bulk customized freight. We’re looking for a team player who is agile, methodical with highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt their communication style to the needs of our customers Truck Drivers and Builders. You'll need to be pragmatic in your approach to providing quality customer service with capability of lateral thinking when resolving problems that arise. 

 

In addition, you will bring:

  • experience in planning, scheduling and reporting, with the ability to prioritise and achieve DIFOT
  • working knowledge of legislative requirements for transport in areas of COR, fatigue management, load restraint, mass management
