About our Opportunity Due to an internal career move, we currently have a vacancy for a Despatch Officer at our St Marys site. Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will work as part of a close-knit team to coordinate and maintain a reliable and efficient despatch service for customer orders by ensuring delivery runs are scheduled and associated administrative tasks are accurately completed. In this busy and varied role, you will mainly divide your time between planning and scheduling delivery runs, contacting customers about their deliveries and assisting customers in-person visiting the trade counter. In addition, you’ll: - manage the Distribution inbox
- manage requests for any add on to runs ensuring accurate recording
- prepare and distribute daily reports
- confirm delivery bookings with customers to ensure site ready for delivery and/or collection of products
About You While previous distribution experience is preferred, it is not essential. We’re looking for someone with in-person customer service experience and strong administration skills as a minimum, ideally in a similar role servicing a Trade Counter where you've had exposure to transport planning or scheduling. We’re looking for a team player who is agile, methodical and who has highly developed interpersonal skills. You'll need to be pragmatic in your approach to providing quality customer service, with the ability to think laterally when making decisions and resolving problems that can arise in a fast-paced environment About the Benefits We'll provide you with the required training for our in-house CRM system and you will enjoy continued support from your small, close-knit team of three team members. - permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday - 6.00am - 2.30pm
