About The Opportunity

We are seeking an Operations Manager to deliver safe, stable, compliant and efficient manufacturing operations at our Stapylton site. Reporting to the National Manufacturing Manager, you will ensure operational plans are consistently executed to deliver agreed outcomes across safety, quality, delivery (DIFOT), coat and people. You will embed Ventora Glass operating standards, sustain a strong Daily Management System and develop capable production leadership to enable predictable performance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide strong, visible leadership to the site production and operations team
• Control, coordinate, and monitor all site manufacturing activities to meet budgeted and operational objectives
• Deliver site performance against agreed KPIs, including Safety, Quality, DIFOT, Productivity, and Cost
• Proactively contribute to a safe and supportive workplace culture and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and Ventora standards
• Implement and maintain site safety systems, risk controls, incident investigations, and corrective actions
• In consultation with the National Manufacturing Manager, develop and sustain operational systems and processes to control quality, cost, labour efficiency, waste, and inventory
• Own and lead the site Daily Management System, including tiered meetings, KPI boards, escalation routines, and leader standard work
• Review production, cost, labour, and performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Ensure SOPs, standard work, and quality controls are documented, current, and consistently followed across all shifts
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver sustainable performance gains

• Support site capital projects, new equipment commissioning, and process changes as required.

About You

You will have:

• Proven operational leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong understanding of production systems, safety management, and quality standards
• Sound financial and commercial awareness, including labour and cost control
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels
• Demonstrated ability to lead through others and develop frontline leadership capability
• Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to manage complexity, prioritise effectively, and make timely, sound decisions
• Demonstrated experience of acting with integrity, professionalism, and alignment to Ventora values
• A current unrestricted driver’s license to perform the requirements of this role 
• Trade, diploma, or tertiary qualification in manufacturing, engineering, operations, or business is desirable – or demonstrated equivalent operational leadership experience.
