About The Opportunity Due to internal staff movement, we are now looking for our next Purchasing Officer to join our small established team. In this role you will help ensure the cost-effective provision and timely purchase of raw materials required for the day-to-day operations of the business, and help to maintain optimal inventory levels. A typical day will see you ordering hardware such as locks, receipting materials into our system, creating work orders for the factory supervisor and providing suppliers with purchase orders. Other responsibilities include: - Ensure daily and cycle purchasing are actioned
- Assisting in ensuring optimum inventory levels are maintained
- Processing requests for new vendor set-ups
- Monitoring and updating open purchase order report with estimated delivery dates
- Conducting regular stock takes and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and system integrity
This is a permanent, full time role with working hours Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am – 2.00pm. Approximately three times per year you will be required to assist with a stock take on a Saturday, which is of course paid at overtime rates. About You Naturally we will provide you with training and on-going support on our processes and systems to help ensure your success in the role. Your previous purchasing experience combined with your willingness to learn and your well-rounded communication skills will help you to hit the ground running. You will also have: - Excellent time management and organisation skills

- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
